How Much Does Mobile Detailing Cost?

Here is exactly what we charge in the Tri-Cities, TN area, and what moves the number up or down.

The Short Answer: What We Charge

Most detailers dodge this question until they have you on the phone. We would rather just tell you. These are our published prices, and they are the same prices you will see on our pricing page.

  • Basic Detail: Small $120, Medium $150, Large $170. A complete inside-and-out detail. This is where most people start.
  • Wax & Paint Protection: Small $180, Medium $200, Large $250. The Basic Detail plus a protective wax layer over your paint.
  • Full Paint Correction: $400 to $1,200. The full restoration — interior, exterior, clay bar, polish and wax.
  • Interior Shampoo (add-on): Small $175, Medium $190, Large $205. An add-on for any package — a deep shampoo of seats, carpets and upholstery.

Prices may increase depending on the condition of the vehicle. We confirm your exact price before we start, so nothing on the invoice is a surprise.

How Vehicle Size Works

Every price above is quoted against three size tiers, because a hatchback and a three-row SUV are not the same amount of work.

  • Small: Sedans, Coupes, Hatchbacks.
  • Medium: Mid-size SUVs, Mid-size Trucks.
  • Large: 3-row SUVs, Full-size Trucks, Minivans.
  • Extra Large: add $30 to the Large price.

Travel and Payment

We come to your home, and we can work somewhere else too. We can detail somewhere other than your home as long as we're able to hook up to water there. Ask us and we'll tell you whether the spot will work. Either way there is no drop-off and no waiting room. Anything past 30 miles from our base picks up a travel fee of $1.25 per mile. We take Cash (preferred) and Venmo.

What Makes the Price Go Up?

  • Vehicle size. A sedan sits at the Small price. A full-size truck or a minivan sits at the Large price.
  • Condition. A car that gets cleaned a few times a year moves fast. Years of buildup or ground-in stains take longer, and that can raise the price.
  • Pet hair removal. Starts at an extra $30. Heavy pet hair adds time on site, so it starts at an extra $30. It is the only add-on charge we have.
  • Military and first responders. 10% off. Just show us your ID when we get there.
  • The package you pick. A Basic Detail is one price. Adding wax and paint protection or going all the way to a full paint correction is more work and more product.
  • Adding an interior shampoo. Shampooing seats, carpets and upholstery is a separate add-on price on top of your package.
  • Distance. Past the 30-mile radius, the per-mile travel fee applies.

What Keeps the Price Down?

  • Not waiting years between details. A vehicle that has been kept up takes less time to bring back than one that has been ignored since it was bought.
  • Picking the package that matches the goal. If your paint is in good shape, a Basic Detail with wax does the job. Paint correction is for paint that actually needs correcting.
  • Clearing the vehicle out first. Pull the car seats, gym bags and job-site gear before we arrive and we spend the time on the vehicle instead of on your stuff.
  • Being inside the free travel radius. Inside 30 miles there is no travel fee at all.

Is It Worth It Compared to Doing It Yourself?

You can absolutely wash and vacuum your own car. The honest tradeoff is time and equipment. A full detail done properly is most of a day with the right tools, and a driveway setup will not match an extractor and a polisher. If your Saturday is worth more to you than that, hiring it out makes sense.

Is It Worth It Compared to a Car Wash?

A drive-through wash pulls surface dirt off the paint and that is where it stops. A detail cleans and protects every surface inside and out, and that shows up later in how the paint holds and how the interior smells. They are two different services at two very different price points.

What About Shop Pricing?

Shop prices vary by shop, so we are not going to put words in anyone else's mouth. What we can tell you is that we publish our prices, we come to you, and you do not lose half a day sitting in a lobby. If you want the full side-by-side, read mobile detailing vs. the shop.

Bottom Line

Our packages run from $120 for a Basic Detail on a small vehicle up through a full paint correction, and the interior shampoo add-on has its own price on top. The exact number depends on your vehicle, its size and its condition. Send us what you drive and we will confirm the price before we ever pick up a towel.
